You were the brother I never had. Your sisters and I picked on you but you were such a good sport. I miss you and wish you could be at the reunion with us.

The following was shared by Larry's sister, Jink
Larry was a wonderful brother. He had a bad habit of not wanting to wear clothes when he was a youngster. One day we were across the road playing with our neighbors & we missed Larry. He was in the front yard in a tree without a stitch of clothes on. My dad had rented a building to 2 preachers. They held service there every night and this one night before service began they told us they had seen Larry up in the tree... naked. Another time it was in the winter, snow was on the ground & we kept hearing car horns... There was Larry in the front yard naked as a jay bird! If I close my eyes, I can still see him at 4 or 5 years old wearing his birthday suit.

On June 5 1983, we got a call from my oldest brother's wife that he was in a coma (he had lung cancer). My Mother, sister (Pat) and I left for Alabama to be with the family. Larry joined us the following day and we were all together for one week. When Larry was headed back to Georgia we told him to take care, that he was our only brother living and he smiled and said he would. On June 18 we received a call that Larry had drowned. My Mother lost two sons in one week. I believe that God gave us that week in Alabama to be with Larry.
